Veg Biryani
Veg Biryani is a fragrant rice dish made with basmati rice, fresh vegetables, and
aromatic spices. It's a royal dish enjoyed across India.
Ingredients:
- Basmati rice
- Mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, peas, cauliflower)
- Onions and tomatoes
- Spices:
- Bay leaf
- Cinnamon stick
- Cloves
- Cardamom
- Curd (yogurt)
- Oil or ghee
Cooking Steps:
- Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes.
- Saute onions, tomatoes, and spices in oil.
- Add vegetables and cook with curd and masala.
- Layer rice and vegetables, cook on low flame (dum method).
- Garnish with fried onions and coriander.

- A slow cooking method where steam cooks the food.
- Marinate
- Soaking food in a mixture of spices/yogurt to enhance flavor.
Chole Bhature
Chole Bhature is a classic Punjabi dish made with spicy chickpeas curry (chole)
served with deep-fried fluffy bread (bhature).
Ingredients:
- Chickpeas (soaked overnight)
- Onions and tomatoes
- Spices:
- Chole masala
- Turmeric
- Chili powder
- Cumin seeds
- Flour (maida) for bhature
- Curd for dough
- Oil
Cooking Steps:
- Boil chickpeas until soft.
- Prepare masala with onions, tomatoes, and spices.
- Add chickpeas and simmer until thick curry forms.
- Knead flour and curd into soft dough, rest for 2 hours.
- Roll and deep fry bhature, serve with chole and pickle.

Rasgulla
Rasgulla is a famous Bengali sweet made with chenna (cottage cheese) balls boiled in
light sugar syrup until spongy and soft.
Ingredients:
- Chenna (fresh cottage cheese)
- Sugar
- Water
- Flavoring:
Cooking Steps:
- Prepare chenna by curdling milk and draining water.
- Knead chenna until smooth and soft.
- Roll into small balls.
- Boil sugar syrup and add balls gently.
- Cook until rasgullas double in size and become spongy.
